  • Greetings from the Hill Country!

Hello all. Was looking to start a build on my first AR and decided on the 6.5 Grendel, then stumbled upon this forum. Lot of good info that has helped me out, thanks to all! Have a few questions before I go for it but I will do a little more searching to make sure I don't repeat something for the 100th time. See yall around!

I heard about it, heard it was nice but never have gone. I usually just go to Llano or my buddies place.

Burnet County, one of my favorite places. I have many fond memories of 30 years hunting a ranch outside Briggs. The ranch manager was also the county water commisioner and taught us the proper pronunciation of Burnet. He told us they taught him in school, "It's Burnet, durnit, learn it!"

Lol, well I'm originally from Llano so Burnet was our rivals in everything, so to us it was BURN-IT!

Aw, cmon, the ONLY way you can prove you're native to the Hill Country is to demonstrate that you know how to CORRECTLY pronounce the following:
                            Burnet
                            Buda
                            Llano
                            Buchanan
                            Tow
                            Pedernales
(and stretching out a bit, Humble )

and who can't love a state with cities named Cut n Shoot, Gun Barrel City, Hoop and Holler, Ding Dong, Dime Box, and Muleshoe?
