New Dopple Radar Chronograph-AndiScan micro A2

    AndiScan micro A2

This Doppler radar chronograph is in beta version from a European manufacturer. It is not for sale yet but looks like it is gonna be in the $800.00 range. F Class John will be putting out a video of his range testing of it in the next week or so. Can be mounted on the rifle using a pic rail or on a tripod stand like a camera stand. Weighs just a little over 5oz.

Here is the 1st video from F Class John that shows how you can mount it and explains some of its features so far:

Nice to see additional doppler options. Hopefully they get better at the smaller projectiles as well as eventually get more reasonably priced.

With the lab radar at 550, it's got a long ways to go.....

Those accuracy deltas need to be taken out to 3 decimal places.
                    Let's go Brandon!

I'd have to see what the feature set is like. Labradar is already a decent product and is already on the market at a cheaper price. It wouldn't surprise me if a mini + mini lite (cheaper) version were released to market in the next year or 2. I'll stick to my trusty magnetospeed for now until they make it into a flashlight sized device and just bluetooth or wifi to a mobile or tablet to cut down display, battery, etc costs.

I noticed that they are using wifi instead of bluetooth to connect a cellphone. Way more reliable.

Maybe someone way smarter than me will invent a wifi interface that bypasses the bluetooth to reliably connect with the Labradar. Maybe even Labradar could invent it. Would probably have to redo the cellphone software as well. OK, my dream is over and I'm woke up now.

Thanks to DNS for noticing my wireless references that I used, as bluetooth is also wireless. Changed to wifi.

I picked one of these up when they were in stock earlier in the month. I've only had it to the range one time so far as I just got back from Deer hunting. I tried using a tripod initially and had some difficulty aiming it properly to get the shots to trigger. I switched over to the top PIC rail mount and didn't miss a shot after making the switch. I put roughly 60 shots through it at this particular session.

It isn't cheap, but to me its worth the money not hauling a bunch more crap to the range like I would have to with the lab radar. The unit is extremely small and it weighs only 5.15 oz, or 146 grams since its from Europe.

The guy who makes it is extremely helpful and responds to email questions in less than 10 minutes.
