    Android Labradar App Update

I noticed that the Android app for cellphones had disappeared from the Labradar website and the Play Store for Android last week. I emailed Labradar and here is their reply that I received today. Looks like there will be a new cellphone app for Android at any time.

The app has been submitted to Google Play Store and waiting to be uploaded, it should be available at any time now.

    Best regards,

    Labradar

The new mobile app from Labradar is finally up in the Play Store so it can be installed from there now.

Here is the info for the program:

    Current Version-2.5.2
    Requires Android 5.0 and up
Connected right up to the chrono with Bluetooth with no problems.

I just searched the Play Store for "labradar" on my phone and it came up in the search results. Strange that you can't get it there yet.

You can still go to the Labradar webpage on a cellphone and get it that way.

Yeah, my phone isn't that new. It is an LG G5 that I can still change the batteries in myself. I think I am on Android 7.0.

I am curious if this update fixed the Samsung problems or not.

Go to labradar website and click on the android link. Then it will show up in the play store. Also, it's not an update, but a whole new app. So don't wait to see it auroalert as an update.

Haven't connected to my unit yet, bur the interface is very different it appears. Here is hoping it has improved durability of Bluetooth connection.

I had trouble connecting my Android phone to my Labradar all of a sudden and have spent all day yesterday and today trying to get it to connect again as I had no trouble before connecting.

I have tried this on the 1.2.4 and 1.2.7 firmware versions and with both the 1.0 and 2.5.2(newest) software versions and it connected right up and stayed connected on both versions.
I have version 7.1 of Android on my phone so it is an older version and this may not work on newer versions but it might be worth a try if you are having trouble connecting.

                    Here is what I did:

                    1. Turn on your Labradar unit so that it is up and running before you do the next steps.
                    2. Turn on Location on your phone and set the Display to "Always On"
                    3. Turn on "Airplane Mode" (which will turn off bluetooth and should leave Location on, check to make sure that Location is still on and turn it back on if it is off)
                    4. Turn on Bluetooth and let it find your Labradar.
                    5. Start your Labradar app on your phone and refresh the software so that it finds your Labradar.
                    6. Tap the Labradar that it found and it should connect right up.

I am guessing that all of the other connections that Airplane Mode is turning off is interrupting the bluetooth connection or stopping it altogether. Hopefully this will help someone get connected that is having problems. This is basically making your phone a dedicated interface for the Labradar.

Ran it today with my updated LabRadar. Night and day difference. Everything was blazing fast, never lost connection, interface was much different, but once you figure it out, much more polished and much better. Way way WAY better App. And way better overall experience.

New version of Labradar program for Android.
I think the version is Version 2.5.3
Get it at the Play Store.

                        What's new
                        - A setting has been added to control if loaded series should be refreshed when connecting to a Labradar. The user can choose to always or never refresh loaded series when connecting, but the latest series will ALWAYS be refreshed.
                        - Fixed incorrect series date
                        - The changelog has been removed from the settings to avoid duplication with the store's changelog.
