    WTB: 6.5 Barrel, Preferrably 18"-22"

Howdy all, looking to buy a barrel (6.5G or .264LBC chamber) to introduce a friend to the 6.5 family; I've purchased an upper on 6.5 Forum and have positive feedback. Ideally of medium length and mid-length/rifle(/adjustable gas system if it comes with gas block). Doesn't have to come with barrel extension & headspaced bolt, but that's always a plus.

Given today's market, he can't be too picky. I seem to recall someone telling him repeatedly to get one before something like this happened

    Thanks for looking!

Call Jim at Quality Arms of Idaho and get a complete upper from him.

Do you happen to know Jim's wait times?

I know he had some barrels and bolts last week so give him a call. He can build you a complete rifle with whatever you want in record time.

Thanks Gamecock84, that must be the only store on the internet with any availability! We may have to go that route, but I'd like to save money and get the experience putting together an AR if someone has a barrel they want to get rid of.

FYI, he only has 18" barrels right now.

18" is all you need FYI. Look at the ballistics. Unless you are building this gun for super long range bench competitions, 18" is the way to go in my opinion.

100% agreed; my G is an 18" too. The only cartridge in which 16" to 24" is even less useful is the 5.45x39 (but the CCCP still insisted upon a 23" RPK-74. Makes sense.) - you only get 60m/s for all that extra steel!
