    Carbon Fiber Hand Guard

    Carbon Fiber Hand Guard

I use Aerospace Carbon Fiber, UV resistant epoxy. It's all US made and very sturdy and and extremely light. It can mount and dismount without using glue or epoxy so it can be easily installed and removed. The 12 inch model shown weighs 7.1 ounces.

Let me know what you think. PM me for prices and sizes. This 12 inch is $115 ea. other sizes on request.

Check out the posts in this thread, where the link worked.

Hi folks I have had a boat shop for many years and lots of experience with composites so I decided to build some free float carbon fiber hand guards. Here's a few pics. If you guys like them I'll make more and sell them for a good price. I use Aerospace Carbon Fiber, UV resistant epoxy. It's all US made and very sturdy and

Does it come with a barrel nut and how is it attached? It looks very clean and I'm interested but need more info. Right now I'm considering the AP Customs tube since it's one of the only affordable CF tubes that doesn't require glue.

What is the inside diameter and do you have plans on making a vented model?

Yes, a vented model is in the works. I have a CNC machine and just need to build the jig to hold the piece for cutting.

I am also going to offer a 2" rail attached as an option for a bipod, etc.

              The ID is 2".
It does come with a barrel nut and a jam nut.

The tube has 2 jam nuts epoxied in place so you install the barrel nut as usual, add a jam nut, screw the hand guard on and once in place tighten the jam nut (with blue locktie). this can easily be removed and reinstalled.

The hand guard is very sturdy and strong.
I can make any length you need with a little heads up.
I'll take some more pics tonight.

Here are some photos of the carbon fiber hand guard.

You can see the barrel nut and jam nut that are included. Install the barrel nut as normal, thread on the jam nut, thread on the hand guard and tighten the jam nut (with some blue locktite) the gas block and tube are omitted for the photos.

This can be easily removed and reinstalled with just some fresh locktite.

                Vented and rails coming soon.
                Thanks for looking

Looks great! I assume there is a threaded insert attached inside the handguard that allows it to be threaded to the barrel nut?

Shoot me a price for a rifle length (non-vented) with 1 rail when you're ready to go with that.

Yes, there is a threaded insert, very sturdy and allows easy removal if desired.

                            PM sent.

Any chance of a 9" vented with threaded inserts and 12,3,6, and 9 oclock to attache rail sections like the AA product?
