I think you are making a mistake, Wolf Primers are more consistent than Federal, I've tested them extensively over many thousands of rounds.

Are you close enough to Wilmington to set up a FTF to save on shipping?

If so, PM me and we will go from there.

          Thanks!

I agree. I haven't tested even a fraction of what Bob has but Wolf gives me as good or better ES numbers than CCI benchrest primers in .223.

How do Rem 7 1/2's perform relative to comments about CCI's and Wolf primers?

The most consistent primers anyone has tested have been the Wolf primers, with the lowest velocity variations. CCI's have been used for most testing by AA, and thus are recommended for most loads because of it.

No one I know has tested Remingtons consistency in the Grendel, but their record isn't real stellar elsewhere so far as consistency.

Absolutely do not want to step in front of anyone, if a deal's been made on these, but if not and there are no prior dibs established, I'd take 2000 just for sampling purposes, if OP is open to same.

Remember that shipping primers requires a Haz Mat fee!

Private party sales are pretty much limited to face to face. I recently researched this on my own and called the hazmat division of UPS and Fedex. Unless you have a hazmat contract with either of them which requires many, many hoops to jump through you can't ship primers. They are designated UN0044 explosives and have no small quantity exemption.

Appreciate the head's up. Will have to ferret some out in San Antonio or Austin-any ideas who may carry Wolf?

I know of one shop in Houston that carries them but that's it. I just bought 15000 of them from Wideners plus I have 5k or so left from the last time I ordered. Your best bet is to buy enough to stock up for a while and spread the cost of the hazmat fee.

If you are in Austin and want some for testing shoot me a message. I'll share.

I agree with the other guys. Why give up on the Wolf?

My experience too, has shown them to be the most consistent.

Thanks for the generous offer-if I can find a spare weekend, I'd like to take you up on same. Would also like to get over to the Best of the West and stretch the Grendels out a bit-only have 100yds in Bandera to work with, but it's less than a mile from my house, so easy choice with little time to spare.
