    Shot Show optics???

When is the shot show? I'm thinking there will be used demo optics avialable after the show for a slight discount. Any thoughts. I'm in the "death spiral", started looking at Vipers, then HS's, now thinking PST, but the 2.5X10X44 doesn't have illuminated reticle. Also reading that the 4X16 SFP's have inferior glass to rest of the PST lineup. Any thoughts on this. SHide forum several members have even called customer service about it and Vortex says they are aware of it, but no returns for "foggy glass", except that they will look at it. First complaints I heard/read on the Vortex's

SHOT is next week. And no they won't sell their stuff there to take home. You can make an order. Unless you know someone... know what I mean

The purpose of SHOT Show is for businesses in the industry to debut and showcase their products, make new relationships with other businesses, and for media to look at and report on new products and services for the shooting, hunting, and outdoor consumer.

It's nothing like a gun show, but the firearms equivalent of the Consumer Electronics Show. Most deals are made by distributors, manufacturers, and retailers via agreements after scheduled or chance meetings to further the interests of all related parties.

LRRPF52, thanks for the explanation. I guess I'll keep watching the websites for a Demo, or maybe e-mail some of them. I've heard that one site offers a 10% discount if you fill out a questionaire. I'll keep watching the classifieds also.

Got to be a manufacturer rep, retailer/dealer or member of a disciplined body for entry. General public are not allowed entry. That said, it's pretty easy to wangle your way in by getting 'affiliation' from your local gunsmith/dealer. Check the NSSF website.

An affiliation with your local gun shop or gunsmith won't cut it anymore. They are requesting pay stubs now to show that they are really affiliated. They are cracking down hard this year. Too many people showing up that think it's a gun show. There are emails that they will send that they will investigate your business etc... to see if you are legit
