    Upgrade safety selector

Is there any reason to upgrade the mil spec sefety selector other than Ambidextrous?

    To me - no.

I'm going to try an ambidextrous on this pistol build, but I have never felt like I needed it on my Ruger gas piston.

      For me no.

But in the end it's personal preference.

Only if you want a different feel or shorter throw.

I like the 45degree throw...Easier to quickly re-apply using the length of the trigger finger on the other/ambi side. This, without needing to shift your hand too much on the pistol grip. The full 90-degrees is arguably overkill and peculiar to this gun.

I have short thumbs and love the ambi-safeties. I use my index finger on opposite side and it is more comfortable for me.

I have been eyeing the Radian Talon for a while, and was thinking of getting one for my hunting lower and one for my HD pistol lower. I get a military discount already but I may see what the price is on Black Friday and cyber Monday to see if it is to good of a deal to pass up.

The Radian 45 degree or Vseven 57 degree are nice.

Not to resurrect an old thread but I went with this one. Multiple options for configure. 45, 90, right, left, both. Really like it.
The Odin Works Ambidextrous Modular Safety (AMS) for AR-15 and AR-9 rifles makes quickly changing from safe to fire extremely easy.

Might as well toss in my .02. I didn't like the 90 degree Mil-Spec jumping off my finger with a loud click or sliding my palm from the grip to quietly ride it off or on. Not that big a deal when I am at the range, but I can work the short throw much quieter while keeping my hands planted. I am trying the Seekins currently but might get the Radian for an even shorter throw before fall.

Do these safeties work with standard lower receivers ?

Thanks. I like the idea of a less than 90 degree safety lever.

The Radian Talon is worth looking at, if you find that you don't like the 45 degree angle it can also be installed at 90. They are reasonably priced as well.

                            The Odin safety looks great.

                            Might get one

I have been very happy my seekins precision with the 60 degree on my mil-spec receiver.
