Is there any reason to upgrade the mil spec sefety selector other than Ambidextrous?

Only if you want a different feel or shorter throw.
I like the 45degree throw...Easier to quickly re-apply using the length of the trigger finger on the other/ambi side. This, without needing to shift your hand too much on the pistol grip. The full 90-degrees is arguably overkill and peculiar to this gun.

I have been eyeing the Radian Talon for a while, and was thinking of getting one for my hunting lower and one for my HD pistol lower. I get a military discount already but I may see what the price is on Black Friday and cyber Monday to see if it is to good of a deal to pass up.

Might as well toss in my .02. I didn't like the 90 degree Mil-Spec jumping off my finger with a loud click or sliding my palm from the grip to quietly ride it off or on. Not that big a deal when I am at the range, but I can work the short throw much quieter while keeping my hands planted. I am trying the Seekins currently but might get the Radian for an even shorter throw before fall.
