    Feeding problem - Please help

I have been trying to get my Grendel to feed & fire reliably without much success. I have been using Hornady brass, 123g AMax bullets, and some Nosler 123g BT bullets with OAL from 2.25 - 2.70 and nothing will chamber reliably. The rifle shoots great when I get one chambered. I'm thinking it could be the magazine but I would appreciate some more experienced feedback. Also wondering if polishing the feed ramps would help? Thanks in advance for any help.

After I get a round to chamber it leaves a rub on the bullet:

looks like you need to "meltdown" your feed ramps. Do a search on here. LRRPF52 had some posts on the subject. That should help you some with the round catching on the ramps and scarring. I dont know whats causing the marks in last photo, what chamber/whose barrel do you have?

Have you tried to widen the mag feed lips?

The last photo is showing a fairly short throat.

Make sure the ejector isn't too long, & and raise the mag. lips .020-gently=more in the front-almost zero in the rear, do the ultra slo mo release to see where the tip hits the ramp= get a helper to see. Which feedramps are in there? Oh no, another BHW issue.

I removed the barrel yesterday. The feed ramps had awful tooling marks on them. I sanded the feed ramps until the tooling marks were gone then buffed them to chrome like finish with a dremel. I fired 10 rounds through it yesterday and it cycled every round.

I guy I shoot with here locally had the same issue as you with a barrel from another manufacturer. Similar symptoms & damage to the rounds. He sent it back and the manufacturer performed the same fix. Works great now.

Shot 30 rounds today with zero problems. As soon as I find the "sweet" round I will put some groups in here. I am currently trying the CFE loads that BWild has in another thread. I'm trying to ween myself off my SOCOM and now that the Grendel is running it will make that a little easier.

The poly lower is good. It has a 5.5lb trigger out of the box. I am putting the aluminum lower back on it though. I originally bought that poly lower for my .22LR.

                      This is my .22LR plinker.
