I have one of the Sabre Defense 14.5" carbine gas 6.5G barrels that Red X arms was selling. It shoots fairly well, but for anyone else that has one have they noticed that it seems to be extremely overgassed? I have an H3 buffer and Wolff XP spring in it and I am still seeing strong ejector swipes and the recoil is pretty violent. My next step is to stick a JP adjustable FSB on the rifle in the hopes of taming it down.
Any suggestions or advice? Am I barking up the wrong tree on this? I know carbine gas systems have a sharper recoil but I would have thought it would have been tamed with the heavy buffer and spring.
I may try a Vltor A5 system next.
