My 18" Grendel in the NV desert

Got a chance to head home (Las Vegas) for a few days and updated and tested my Grendel AR. Finally got a chance to sight in the iron sights and play with the new Larue gear. For these pics I had a 2/3rd scale ISPC silhouette AR500 plate at about 560yd away, mostly shooting rapid fire with wolf 120 MPT, but also got a chance to throw some of my new 123 Amax loads down range. I scored 1st round hits both with the NF NXS 2.5-10x scope and with iron sights. Impressive considering I couldn't see the plate with the naked eye and was dealing with a variable 15-20mph wind.

Rifle is a hodge podge of parts, AA bolt/barrel, YHM upper, sights, and FF tube, DPMS lower, jard trigger, 1960's m16 buttstock, nf nxs 2.5-10x32mm scope with NP-R2 reticle. 28.4 grains of IMR 8202xbr under a 123 amax in lapua cases is my pet load. avg velocity is about 2505fps, shoots about 3/4 MOA consitantly in that rifle, which is the best I've got so far. Most everything is 1.25-2 MOA.

Next time I go home it's getting pushed to 800 and 1000yd.
