Funny how with Chronys and in real life, forced retirement looks a lot like getting fired.

I've nicked my rear sensor twice.....I try to be as careful as possible. I want the Lab Radar but not sure what I would do if I shot mine dead tomorrow.Chrony Nicked.jpg

I have a shooting chrony (green F1 that I modified years ago). I always fear just this. It looks like crap but a few years ago, I took selfadheisive LEDs and stuck them inside some PVC pipe with a section cut off (like a reflector - open along one side "C" shaped. Then hooked the DC converter up. Use the heavy political sign wire (do you have these bag-like election signs that slip over a wire U shaped - idk, holder?) in place of the 2-pc white plastic shade thing. I never get errors and these home made lights let me sit way up above the sensors. The king answered, "Say this: 'Don't let the one who puts on his armor boast like the one who takes it off.'" 1 Kings 20:11

Had my dad's red chrony for years when it went down of old age. Called chrony about fixing it and the guy laughed since they had not been using red bodies for a few decades. Offered to take the old one as a $20 trade toward a new one. I now have a newer green model and the old red is still in the basement. You may have helped put that old chrony out of its misery.
