Hey all, yes there are still some nice lakes and fish to be had in Texas and deer for that matter too.
My original comment about the size of game was based on photos I see of the deer and fish that were being caught in the early years of the 1900's.
You can certainly see that what we classify as Big today was medium to small back then.
I haven't been able to put down the rifles to play with the rods in some years, perhaps 2013 will bring me a nice fishing trip off shore.
