Great start for a young Grendel fan

This is my niece's daughter. This is her first year to hunt! The doe fell opening morning and the buck on Sunday morning. Youth hunting weekend in south central Oklahoma. I built this Grendel for her dad a few years ago after he fell from a tree stand and broke his back. Ideal gun for new or young shooters!

Congrats to the young hunter. Great to see our youth interested in our hunting heritage. Good shooting with a great rifle. BE PROUD.

kmon, it does. Not only did the Grendel allow a young man to continue shooting and hunting when circumstance went south but it has now fostered a new generation of like minded folks, Yes, I am very proud.

PS - even at 70+, they still try to tell me to act my age - so, it is kids OF ALL AGES!

When my son was 10, he had been shooting since 5, I asked him if he wanted to shot a dry doe whitetail deer. He said he wasn't ready. He wanted me to take the a shot. I used a high shoulder shot at just past 100 yards and Sent the doe into a back flip then DRT. Next two years with the same Grendel he proceeded to take larger bucks than I had shot in my 50+ years. Needless to say he's hooked! He is 17 now and the "first" 6.5 Grendel is his!
