Greetings Horde! Thanks to Cajun.Navy posting that Druid Hill Armory having these in stock, I was able to pick up a couple of boxes, get them to the range, and then out in the field. As is frequently the case with my hunts, little went as planned, starting off with a daylight boar to hogs coming into the field where I was working to a super long unproductive stalk, and then running into hogs when I went to deposit my kills in the bone yard. I am still recovering from a couple of medical procedures and was was pretty well exhausted after only hunting two properties. Between stalking, loading, unloading, and some minor necropsy work, 7 was it.
The Rex bullets did fairly well. Druid Hill has them loaded well and I was pleased to be getting right at 2680 fps from my 18" barrel. With the exception of two hogs, I had all pass throughs.
This video has some good shooting in it. Hopefully, y'all will find it enjoyable to watch. I will be doing a cursory follow-up video on the bullet performance from a couple of hogs on this hunt.
