If I'd read your post a little more carefully I'd have seen how far it traveled. Sorry.
My 120 PH loads are doing around 2684 (10 shot average @ 32F) and they are mean medicine on deer. Elk? Maybe I'll find out.~Riuma

Very nice that 120gr GMX did better than I thought it would. Have you tried Leverevelotion with that bullet? I bet you could get close to 2600 fps.

Grilled back strap. There was about 3x this amount Grilled l, decided to take a picture before it was all gone. Tastes like good beef but the texture is better.....

We filled our chest freezer, not sure what we are going to do if one of my boys or daughters shoot a deer or two in the next couple weeks. Lol need another freezer I suppose.

At the height of the war in Afghanistan, I turned all the venison, one year 3 deer, into deer/pork dry sausage and sent them to different units. That one year it cost me 1200 to get the deer processed and mailed out. I think it was 10 (wife said 13) large flat rate boxes.

The first shirt in one of the Marine units told me he even gave the sausage to their interpreters when the units went outside the wire, but kept the pork content out of the conversation.
