    First Hog Kill With 6mm ARC?

    The fellow in this video says he is pretty sure he's the first person to kill a hog with the 6mm ARC. He used a San Tan AR with a proof research barrel...

    That was a horrible video. It is a guy talking about what happened at the range and in the field, standing next to a rifle and dead pig. No video of the event.

    Looks like the 6mm ARC worked real well...
    He shot the pig in the head. That says absolutely nothing about how well the caliber worked. You can get the same kill results from much lesser calibers and even lesser air rifle calibers. There would be no reason to assume that 6mm ARC can't kill hogs, even with boilerroom shots, as again, people have been doing it for decades with lesser calibers. The only impressive result would have been if it didn't die from the shot.

    Also, he notes that he lost some pigs while using this caliber.

    Is the the the first to kill a hog with 6mm ARC? Who knows? He may be the first on YouTube to do it, but there are a LOT of hunters who don't post to YouTube. His claim is non-verifiable.

      I enjoy his channel and I too would have liked to have seen the footage which begs the question - is the first YouTube video hog kill category still open .... me thinks so

        First 6mmARC video of actual impact on hog is yet to be done....

        Guy in video does NOT get to claim it for reasons already mentioned.

          I didn't care much for the video either. I just stumbled across it looking for other 6mm ARC videos. Never seen or heard of the presenter prior to now.

          I was disappointed there was no kill shot footage. Without it there's no proof he shot that pig with his 6mm ARC. That's why I put a question mark in the topic title.

            His video is not a shadow of the professional, investigative efforts DNS goes to, letting us know what happened and why. Plus all the hard work in editing that looks so seamless it is easy to take for granted. Plus it's credible; there's no boasting or exaggeration.

            A fireside chit-chat showcasing him and how he was first. I couldn't finish watching it. I guess for some people being first is important.

              Some people prefer to be in front of the camera much more than they do behind one recording their shooting.

              This gentlemen is one of them, and there is nothing wrong with that. Many people like well-made 20 minute videos with only 30 seconds of action...I'm not normally one of them however, but I doubt that a.amantine or Texas Jagd give a damn what I think or like either (rightfully so).

              I do enjoy some of his stuff from time to time, and he does play with some neat equipment.

              As many hogs as he's on though with the company that he keeps, I would have expected more footage by now.
