Found a couple roaming my pasture. Only got one of them. Medium size sow. Could only find one wound, and it was on the side that was towards me, on the side of the head near the eye, near where I was aiming. Look like a nasty wound there, but don't know where the exit was. Shooting 123 SST . Last time I chrono'd they were avg 2520fps. It's a bit hotter now, so maybe the bullet blew up, but I doubt it. I dunno. By the time I get to go out at night I don't feel like doing any surgery. I'm just satisfied the rifle shot ok and the pig is DEAD.

Thanks for the replies. Upon closer examination this morning, it looks like the bullet entered the left ear and "blew out" on the same side of the head between the ear and the snout. Strange angle, but the pig was in high weeds and I couldn't quite see her head when I shot. That's why I said the bullet hit "near" where I was aimingWhen a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
