Kid and the 6.5 Grendel

My daughter has been hunting for 3 years now. Has been hunting hard and passing does early to hold out for a buck. She has ended up shooting a doe later in the season every year. No buck again this year but she killed her 3rd doe. Looking forward to chasing bucks with her this fall, maybe this is the year for her first buck.

Keep after them, a buck will show up oe day. ostly enjoy the time with her and keep having fun

I still say the Grendel is a very kid friendly cartridge for hunting/shooting

Still hunting in April or is that from a few months ago?

That was from December. She will go hunting anytime she can. She had a cow tag in October and hunted 7 days though some were only half days. Think my GPS said we covered about 70 miles over that time. We were on elk a lot but just couldn't get it right, either too far for her too shoot or me to pack out. She runs cross country and track so she is in good shape. Won't be long before I have trouble keeping up.
