"Goldilocks" Brings home the bacon

Feral hogs are a big problem in our area and I built this Grendel specifically to deal with them. I got my first chance to try it out yesterday behind the house, 300+ yards.

Believe it or not, I was using Wolf 100 Gr. FMJ (I couldn't find my Hornady Black). One shot done the job.

When skinning, I noticed that someone had shot this hog previously and it had healed up. The bullet appeared to be .223 and it was shot high on the back - it went through one side and got lodged under the skin on the other side. The pig was angled when I shot it with the Grendel, so I went in one shoulder and it came out mid-way on the other side.

Thanks for the info! After my water testing and seeing LRRP post today on 10% gel test on the 100 grain FMJ steel cased Wolf ammo I’m not surprised. The Wolf steel cased bimetal bullets are not particularlly accurate out of my AR-15 6.5 Grendel but for Feral Hogs at close range it ought to work. I guess your results prove it can work.

Lotta bacon there, great shot! I've been impressed with Wolf's accuracy outta my 16" AA barrel. Shot a couple of 1.25 MOA 5 round groups at 200 yards with it, but usually 1.5 to 2 MOA. Got it zeroed at 100 and using the first BDC circle on my Nikon 3-12 for 200 yard shots, devastating on golf balls, he he! Good info on the gel test video from Andrew, and from the "little pig" your Wolf blew down the door on.
