    6.5 grendel 140 speer #1441

Does anyone have a load for the 140 speer sp #1441? Have some of these left from my 6.5x55 swede and would love to see how close I can
get to 2400-2500 FPS. My little ex-mil Model 94 swede is my favorite white tail getter. Anyone? Am building 6.5 Grendel 18" ss HBAR with 5R
rifling. I have 2015, rl15, blc-2 on hand will probable get cfe 223 next. Thanks for any help. Newbie.

The 140 is a little heavy in the grendal, not enough capacity to get speed for reliable expansion. Most recommended is 123 grain bullets.

    Oh and sweet swede.

Take a look at this thread. Bwild97 did some pretty extensive testing including heavier bullets. The spreed sheets might prove useful.

        6.5 grendel 140 gr speer

Thankyou. The little swede is very good at killing deer with 160 RN at 2300FPS out to 200 YDS and 120 NOSBT at 2662 further.
Would be happy with 2300FPS and 140 Speer from Grendel.

Thanks. Chart is outstanding and appreciated though I do not understand how some of the OALs will work in my AR build. Will check when I get the magazine.
I feel the 140 speer at 2300FPS will maintain 1800FPS and 1000FPE to 300+YDS. My max range here would be 250.

I assumed you saw Speer’s reloading data for that exact same 140 grain PSP bullet or product number 1441. I don’t think you’ll have an issue seating the bullet but you will probably get a reduced case capacity because of the bullet shank taking up space. One advantage of this bullet is it’s shorter profile compared to the match bullets like the 142 grain SMK.
