Hello all, my name is Cris and this is my first post here on the board. This year was my first time hunting with an AR. Man the 6.5grendel is such an awesome cartridge! I started the opening weekend of hunt out with no luck. Lots of does and no bucks. The following Thursday, I went for a nice long hike to some ponds about 5 miles from camp. On my journey back to the quad, I spotted this deer. Spotted him @ 75yrds and stalked him to within 40yrds. Shot him from a kneeling position, using factory 123SSTs. First blood with the Grendel! The third photo is a picture of my cousins deer, taken with my 6.5G, cold bore shot @ over 400yrds. Drilled the poor sum bit*h in the back of the head. Didn't know what hit him.

That is a great introduction to the forum and with two shots for two deer like that, another is converted to the cartridge that outperforms the expectations of many.

Well to the Horde! Those are some nice deer you have there, now hide your Grendel before your Grendel gets taken by your cousin12.5" SBR Grendel - Need Barrel
Surge - Rugged Suppressor
Been a fan of the Grendel from the very beginning and haven't second guessed that choice one time.
Aim small, miss small!
