Bullet entered below the spine but above the heart. Bullet was recovered just under the hide on the other side but lower, about midsection of the deer.
Deer was already bedded down. He just dropped his head and never moved.
Bullet entered just above right shoulder, took off top of heart, and exited just above left shoulder. 1 rib on right side broke. Small exit wound. Not really any chance for expansion.

Hit onside shoulder joint destroyed leg, broke two ribs, heart destroyed, two more ribs exerted through off side leg behind bone with a 1" hole.

Bullet entered right shoulder broke in two and part exited left shoulder found main bullet piece on back of neckunder skin. Very strange.

Tried to upload pic but even when resized to small it is too big
Whitetail doe. 40yds, quartering away. 123gr SST benchmark handload. Ran 75 yards, found on trail, which was convenient. Bottom of heart blown off, exit pretty devastating.
