    buffer weight for a 6.5 Grendel?

    What buffer weights are you guys using on your 16" Grendel builds?

      Thanks for the info, just finished my first 6.5 G build, BA SPR 16" mid length barrel, will see how the standard carbine buffer handles it, hope to get to the range Friday morning. Thanks again.

        Mil spec carbine buffer/spring as always worked well for me, but I have since moved over too the jp scs 100%now.

              Carbine buffer and spring. Brass ejects between 3:00 for brass case and 4:00 for steel case on my Sixfivearms monster build.

                Thanks guys, got to the range the other day, Hornady AM gunner ejected at about 4:00 in a nice neat pile about 10' form the bench. Good for now. My try a heavier buffer in the future to see if I can get the pile a little closer the bench, maybe not screw with it and call it good.

                  Keep in mind that, up to a point anyway, the higher your rifle is off the ground, the farther away your pile will be. For example, if you'd been shooting prone on the ground, that pile might have only been 4-5' away. I would not consider that a very far toss. Thus I wouldn't consider the rifle to be over-gassed/under-damped.
