    Finally done - Thank y'all!!!

Finally got the last of the parts in this week to get her put together. Wouldn't have gone as well or smoothly as it did without the experience, feedback, & direction from ya'll. It's definitely appreciated y'all!

Upper is from my old RRA that I disassembled
trued the upper & bedded barrel
    Alexander arms stainless 11" barrel
    slr adjustable gas block
    9" aero atlas rail
low mass bcg & group buy bolt
MKP arms custom lower (was made for 5B Gunworkx, but Matt never put it to use so he offered it to me)
    Larue single stage trigger
    geissele super 42 buffer
Crux Saxon 9 can (with brake mount)

Topped with a Larue qd spr housing a Thermion XP38

Took it out yesterday mid morning & tuned the gas; do think I'll add a little weight to the buffer (runs great, but think it could be a little better).

Got the chance to zero it @ 50 & 100 yards and so far am very happy with it.
I did figure out that buying a thermal reactive target may be well worth the money though. Kinda hard to effectively do a "1 shot zero" if you can't actually see the bullet holes in your target .

Once again, I can't thank y'all enough for the feedback, insight, & experience base within this group!

Lol! Pretty sure this one is "done"... not saying itll be my only one though. Next one will wait till I find the "right" receiver set to sbr though. I'm just picky I think lol

              Nice work!
Curious about your plan to increase buffer mass vs reducing the gas.

Is your super 42 using the H1 weight currently?
Will increasing buffer weight undo the gains of a low mass carrier?

Suppressor tuning is outside my experience.

Growler, my super is h1; wanted heavier but missed out on their black Friday deal & already had this one.

Honestly a heavier buffer may not do any good at all, but it "feels" like my bolt is overtravelling just a bit. For the minimal cost to add a tungsten weight is minimal so worth a shot I suppose.

Certainly no harm in trying H2. I just wondered about tuning process running a can with a low mass carrier and adjustable gas. I’m still can-less.

Can anyone corroborate 100grain Wolf as a decent reference “light load” for gas adjustment?

It's not as lightweight as you'd expect. Tad over 6lbs without optic (with can). A little over 10 lbs w optic mounted.

I'm Definitely going to see what it does w a little extra weight in the buffer.

Sorry, can't offer any feedback on the wolf stuff, I run sst only in mine presently since I don't reload. Granted its strictly for killing hogs on the farm though.

the feeling one gets from completing a rifle and getting out to shoot is hard to describe until you have done it. I still cannot wait to get out a new build especially when I have spent a lot of time on one and not low balled anything and trust me I have tried to save money and regretted it. nice gun, you must enjoy time with it,,,,,,
