If one were to take the followers and springs out of a 6.5 Grendel 25-round magazine, and put them into the body of a USGI aluminum 5.56 magazine (not the PMAGs, I know the sidewalls of those are too thick for it to work, would the magazine reliably load and feed Grendel rounds? I'd like some magazines that are lighter than the stamped steel that you can buy, and it seems like aluminum would be the only possible choice, given the infeasibility of polymer magazines.
