Would a re threaded AR-15 223 flash hider work???

I have noticed that a standard AR15 flash hider is big enough for a grendel bullet to go through it..... i am wondering why ( if rethreaded to 9/16 24 ) it wouldnt work or be safe on a grendel barrel.....

I have a spare A1; I have a 9/16 24 tap; I know a guy who does work for the company where i work with a lathe ( so it can be tapped square ).... I will let you all know how it works out!!
