Look to chang the trigger pull on my howa I have watched a few videos on YouTube of cutting the spring. My question is cut the spring or order one sold of ebay
Thanks
Briano
I'll be honest and say no, only because it was good and crisp before the cutting, just not as light as I wanted. I like light pull crisp triggers, shooting 1 1/2 ounces jewels on my BR guns ruined me lol.
I have replaced the second stage spring in my 4 Howas as well as some mates Howas. They are pretty much bang on 2lbs with some adjustment of the trigger screw/nut which I find to be a good weight.
I bought a pack of springs from eBay that will fit. The ones I got are as listed in the screenshot. Screenshot_2020-07-27-12-43-41-36_resize_21.jpg
I gotta say that if there was anything on this rifle that was worthy, it's the trigger. So if you learn something and follow the tube instructions what do you have to lose? If you f... it up, buy whatever to fix it. But you already have an excellent trigger. Give it a try.
I clipped about 1.3 coils off the springs on all four of my Minis, which gave me very decent 1lb - 1.2lb triggers. I wouldn't trade them for a Timney - in fact, after trimming the spring of the HACT trigger that I'd removed & replaced with a Timney, I pulled the Timney & went back to the OEM trigger on my 1st Mini.
I trimmed the spring twice first a half a coil then a little more then 3/4 of a coil using my Dremel being careful not to heat the spring.
Okay, before disassembled trigger pull weight 4 lb. 14 oz. After trimming the total pull weight 2 lb. 1 oz clean and crisp
I can live with that.
Thanks
