I only have on variable scope and it's on my ground squirrel rifle, the rest are fixed powers from 4x to 6x and a 10x on my Grendel

for the most part i prefer fixed power scopes on my big game hunting rifles for many reasons. heck, you can see deer and elk a mile away with your eyeballs. so for most big game hunting, where shots are 90% of the time inside of 250 yards (mine have been) i do not see a fixed power scope as a disadvantage. but.... almost everyone else wants a variable, and so i guess there just must not be enough market volume for fixed power scopes for Leupold to continue to offer them. bummer. if you look again at the image, even a 3x9 is kind of long and is dominating on these diminutive howa rifles. an FX-II 4x33 would look much more proportionally balanced i would think. and it would make a lighter weight rig too. however Leupold no longer makes the FX-II 4x33 and this one that i put on the rifle was highly discounted so it is what it is. i'll use it.

Looks nice. I will likely aquire a B&C stock in the future, provided this virus panic doesn't bankrupt me.
