    RAP not ejecting

Had ruger send me a new extractor and ejector shortly after getting the rifle 2 years ago, and it?s started again today. It will sling some brass 4-5 foot away and some, the bolt lets go right as it pulls it out of the chamber and leaves the brass ontop of the mag.

Anyone else have this? Ruger is having me send it back

I’d take the bolt out and slide a case onto the breach face to look at extractor engagement. If the extractor fits the case rim correctly I’d inspect the ejector. On an AR-15 the ejector and spring are retained by a cross pin. I’ve heard where the ejector pin can break or the channel get debris to inhibit the movement of the ejector. Ejector pin could be chipped or break but really won’t know until you remove and inspect. You could also have a bad or weak extractor spring.

As a last resort if everything else appears in order I’d polish the chamber with Flitz the thoroughly clean the chamber and bore
