    New 6.5mm Grendel Howa mini 22"

    Bought Howa mini 1500 in 6.5 Grendel

    Stocked in Boyds blond maple heritage stock, pillar bedded.

    Loaded up 30 reformed 7.62x39 win brass with 28 gr. AA2520 and 100 grain SGK.

          Will be taking it out to blk crk range in Kuna Idaho for monthly silhouette match to see how it does knocking over rams.

            Looks like you have the same Warne base and rings that I have except I used the low rings.I still have to add a little padding to raise the comb for better eye alignment with my scope.I had some medium height rings and and traded them for the low ones.

              And I started out with High (1.275") on a Vortex 50mm. Oops.

              Going with standard (.83) Math says that I will still have .2" clearance between the objective and the barrel - heavy barrel. Went from Talley (Loved the fell of those, and the locking lugs) to Nightforce Ultralight).

              Might want to think about bedding the rail. finger tight the front screws, and check for gap in the rear. The HCR version that I picked up has a decent gap. Probably will end up with a 25 MOA rail (was 20).
