I finally had an opportunity to shoot my little Howa Mini past 300 yards. Shot on a range with some excellent steel targets, shot at 300, 400 and 500 yards. I shoot slinged up prone and had no problem ringing steel with authority! Ammo is Horandy 123 ELD. Scope is a Leupold VXII 6 x 18.
After checking zero on paper at 300, I began hammering the steel. This was also an opportunity to make sure the come ups I used, tracked well on the scope. Up and down, the Leupold did not disappoint.
My shooting buddy, who is a 6.5 Creedmoor man, decided he need a Grendel 6.5 after observing the hits I was making!
My next purchase, other than reloading components, will be a Grendel AR upper I will build soon!
