6.5 Grendel build for hunting

Hey 'My Brother in Arms" fellas. Hoping to get a Grendel build in the AR platform and was wandering what's the best barrel length for Hunting, out to about 600 yrds? Could I get away with a 16 inch? Would like to keep it as light and compact as possible. Thx guys, this is pretty new to me.. God Bless

Hunt what at 600 yards? If just deer and hogs then the 16" will be fine.

If you want to keep it light and compact than go with the 16" in light or medium barrel profile. I have 3 grendel ar's. In the field I prefer the (2) 16" over my 22".

For stalk hunting I prefer the 16 in, for blind or target use, I use a 20 in. Of you want to keep it light, go for the 16 inch.

Thx Guys for the feedback. Basically all I hunt is Deer or Hogs. Most places I hunt, is out of a ladder stand, the farthest shot would be 500-600 yards, so I think the 16 inch is the ticket.
