My first grendel

I just shot my first Grendel this afternoon. I am impressed to say the least.
I have owned ar10's in 308. I liked the 308 power but the guns where just to big and bulky for me.
The 223 just didn't have enough horsepower.
SO I started looking at the Grendel as a option. It looked good on paper. But after listening to all the talk here about it. I was wondering just how much of it was hype.

I finally found a AA arms tactical upper with a free float quad rail.
I was expecting about 1 to 1.5 moa.
Well I am pleasantly surprised to see .5-.75 moa out of wolf gold 120gr mpt.
recoil is pleasant. Little more gas in my face. But not bad. New charging handle for that.
I honestly can not wait to try it again. I believe I am hooked.
I did try a little harder to find the Grendel brass than I do with 223.

When looking for my first AR I was in a similar situation, didn't want the added weight and recoil of the AR-10, the 5.56, not enough boob but the Grendel was just right. Hm, sounds like Goldie Locke's and the Three Bears, anyway the Grendel does live up to the so called hype.
