    Four months and FINALLY got my 20" AA lite barrel - build pics inside

    I'm building this for hunting hogs and deer down south, while keeping weight in mind.

    Specs:
    Upper:
    Vltor MUR-1 upper
    20" lite AA barrel - barrel is 2.59lbs
    -cerakote armor black
    AA bolt
    M16 carrier
    BCM mod4 charging handle
    MI 15" Gen2 SS free float hand guard
    Dennys Guns 9/16x24 stainless vortex flash hider
    Vltor .750 black low pro clamp gas block
    rifle gas tube

    Lower:
    PSA stripped lower
    RRA NM parts kit (2 stage trigger)
    Magpul aluminum trigger guard
    ACE ARFX stock kit
    Hogue grip

        I got a hope inspiring email last week that they got some 24" barrels in and one might be mine....ordered mid March 2012....I have some hope left...running low on patience though

            Ordered 8/20/12. Received the Vltor .750 gas block and gas tube. The barrel is at the local gunsmith now (who is very backed up) for bead blasting. I also ordered a 6.5 Grendel lower from AA but not holding my breath on that order.

              No dust cover on bolt action rifles and shotguns. The DPMS looks good.

                  That is sweet-looking! Looking forward to seeing how it shoots. Looks like it will make a great meat-harvester. Are you going to shoot 123gr AMAX factory through it first?

                        Thanks! Yup, have two boxes of Hornady 123. Just waiting until its not 16* outside to hit the range!
