gas system??

Hi,

Please excuse my ignorance, but could someone explain the differences of a "carbine" gas system and a "rifle gas system? I have a 16" grendel, and would like to be able to tell which system I have.

The difference is the length of the gas tube. Rifle is 12" , midlength is 9", carbine is 7". This is rough length of the tube from the gas block to the receiver. I hope this helps.
