    Need to replace an extractor

Does anyone have a recommendation for which one to buy?

    Watching this thread for info.

I?m having round pick-up issues with my PSA. Watched Johnny?s Reloading Bench video where he grinds down the ears on the extractor to aid in round stripping from the magazine.

Been hesitant to grind my own, till a replacement can be found.

Think I got a couple from Brownells and/or Precision Firearms... been a couple of years though.
As to grinding I would only do a bit of polishing/very fine filing-gentle like.... that grinding word has lots of material removal baked into it -- be careful, you can't put it back.

          Thanks for the suggestions.
I couldn't find any at Brownells. Alexander Arms & Precision Firearms add over $15 shipping for a small part. Anyone have any experience with this one: https://www.jsesurplus.com/65grendel...ractor136.aspx

I think I read where AA will reduce shipping if you call them. Worth a try

Sounds like maybe I should go ahead and get a bolt from @BluntForceTrauma for my brand new Grendel upper.

That's what I did, replacement extractor was almost half the cost of a complete bolt.

Yeah, I bought one of BFT's bolts just so I'd have a spare on hand.

Good source for 65G extractors (until, of course, www.SixFiveArms.com has them in stock as a regular item ) is Black Rifle Arms. Don't know what they charge for shipping.

I picked up a couple BRA's extractors while awaiting my PSA replacement. Have run hundreds of steel through it no problem.
