    Grendel name origination

From the small amount of reading I've done on the subject, I am beginning to the the name "Grendel" came from Mythology and is connect to Beowulf.
If anyone here can fill me in or steer me in the direction of the answer I would appreciate it.

And on that note, I tend to consider 6.5 Creedmoor: "Mother of Grendel"

Only the grendel came before the creedmoor. Less they were rednecks then it would make perfect sense to say creedmoor is the mother of grendel lmao.

That's pretty interesting reading. I never too the time to think about where the name came from.

          Thanks!

And if I'm not mistaken didn't Alexander Arms develop the .50 Beowulf caliber? I could be totally wrong, I just thought I read that somewhere. So they got the beowulf and Grendel names right!

They did. Bill is something else.
