Any suggestions for a barrel on a budget for my upper build?

Yep go to the bottom of the home page and find the group buy section, we have 12, 16, 18 and 20 inch group buy barrels made by green mountain for sale now.

Also have top shelf group buy grendel bolts for sale as well.

    Both will serve you well.

I just ordered a bolt and 18” barrel. Everyone seems to be very highly pleased with the craftsmanship of them

Ok I’m wanting a 16 in that’s what I carried in the military and would be great for packing in on horse back for a hunt. Now gotta recover after Christmas lol

Any real world results from the GB Green Mountain barrels? 16'' in particular.

I have a 20" group buy that I've shot many under 1 inch groups at 100 yds with bulk hornady ammo. I'm sure the 16 would perform excelent for you!

Just search GB barrel or Group Buy Barrel. Several people have posted results. There have been a number of different group buys on this forum from different manufacturers, but the current group buy seems to me to have the most positive and least negative reports yet!

I am looking for a 16" barrel as well on a budget and have narrowed it down to the group buy GM monster barrel and the Faxon match Gunner barrel.
Both are nitride and 5R rifling, the Faxon weighs .5 lb less but is about $70 more.

I have a 18" monster barrel I have 50 rounds through, gonna shoot it this weekend off a rest and see how well I can get it to group. I was 1-1.5 inches when I broke it in off a bipod, if can keep it around MOA then I will probably buy a 16" monster, wish they were a bit lighter though.

Not concerned with the weight really. Accuracy is the main goal with the one i have planned. Had pretty much made my mind up on a PF Criterion tube but the GB barrels looked interesting. Might be apples to oranges through.
