Looking at all the new members coming in and catching the disease. I saw a video about the Grendel dying referencing the amount of ammo on the shelves vs popularity. Hehe don't think he realizes it's being bought up as soon as it hits the shelves. Just thinking its great to see more people diving in getting afflicted.
Grendel dying cartridge..LOL

The only negatives I can see going against it's popularity are the slightly increased cost of ammo (I reload so it doesn't affect me much) and the magazine situation. It would be nice if they were more widely available (none available locally to me) and if someone would come out with a reliable polymer mag for it. I look at the dozens of 5.56 mags I have and wish they would work with the Grendel. I wonder if Magpul has looked into it? Otherwise to me it is the most useful AR round made.

Polymer grendel mag Amend2 has one soon to be released for sale, name me a 6.8 polymer mag made for the mil spec ar15 lower.
Cost of ammo higher? Sorry ain't seeing it, show me factory ammo for other ar15 calibers that shoot groups as tight or as far out as grendel ammo that's cheaper.

A5, I think bronsunburner meant availability of mags was the problem. That’s how I read itKnowing everthing isnt as important as knowing where to find it.

My 24rnd ELanders are not perfect.
My 17rnd Elanders were not perfect without some tweaking of the feed lips.
Both required the front lip to be dremeled off to ensure the round did not hang on it when it was stripped. This was in 2 different rifles. After some tweaking of the lips and the dremel, the 17rnd mags work perfectly. The 24rnd mags are always cranky when full. They don't like to feed smoothly from the bottom of the mag. I wish they were PMag perfect but they aren't, plain and simple.#shareyourspare

I think that is a part of the fun with this cartridge. Sure it is an excellent round but for some folks it's about not being like everyone else. Unfortunately this industry is like many others in that demand and sales play a role as to whether something stays alive or not. Thankfully I think it is taking off fairly well and will continue to grow in popularity. Like the band said, "Stayin Alive."Uva Uvam Vivendo Varia Fit!

Aside from people opening their "mouths" to prove their silliness, this comes to mind...
