I've been so impressed with my little Howa Mini 6.5, I thought I would assemble an AR upper with Grendel barrel, but stumbled upon Bear Creek Arsenal while skimming through the pages here. I decided to buy an 18 inch stainless barreled upper with mid length gas system. Should be here in a week or two. I thought the price was good, maybe too good, but willing to take a chance!
I have a CMMG lower with Rock River NM trigger to snap it on to, should be great for the discipline of fire that I engage in! Known Distance(KD) in the Appleseed program.
On those KD's when we shoot steel, this 6.5 will ring the steel far better than the .223/5.56, removing any doubt about a scored hit or not! Of course, I could still shoot one of my M14 type rifles or M1's!
