I am almost finished with my first Grendel. It's a lightweight coyote hunting rifle. 18" 1:8 Lilja barrel/bolt, 2A armament upper, fax on LW gunner BC, supressed.
I am looking forward to getting to know this rifle/round. However, it seems that the cost of the ammo is much higher than the .223 so ammo testing is gonna get expensive when buying $30 per box ammo to test. I typically only shoot 5-10 rounds of each flame to narrow down the options of what my guns prefer. Then I end up with a bunch of partial boxes that just sit there. Does anybody have any partial boxes (from their own testing) they would be interested in selling or trading for what I have.
So far I have
Hornady 123G SST Custom
Federal 130G Gold Medal Berger
123 Hornady Black.
I am wanting to try the 90G TNT as well as anything you folks think would be a good option for coyote hunting. I am open to suggestions on what I should avoid as well. This will save me money if it's something that will not work well with my set up.
