AA 18: Lightweight Complete Upper Opinion

    From AA:

6.5 Grendel 18" Lightweight Complete Upper

Lightweight 18" button-rifled, fluted stainless steel barrel with a 1:7.5 twist rate, G10 composite free-floating handguard, Picatinny railed gas block, A2 flash hider, 9/16-24 threaded muzzle (non-optional). Direct impingement operating system. Ships with one 10-round magazine. Weight of upper is 4.3 pounds. This unit is 100% complete and is compatible with any standard-specification lower receiver (no modifications required).

Is this accurate enough for 5-600 yard shots at about 1moa and a 2-300 yard hunting rifle?

I am mostly interested in getting into a Grendel right away. I have no issue upgrading parts such as the hand guard later.

Thanks in advance for comments and opinions.

    Welcome.
I'm sure someone with personal experience will chime in. But from what I've read, this should meet your expectations.
My guess would be 1- 1 1/4 MOA with Factory Hornady ammo, and 1 MOA or less with the right reload.
    Good luck!

      Welcome aboard.

500-600yds is child's play for that upper on targets, and is more than capable for 200-300yd hunting.
