I understand the need for a free float when it comes to accuracy but I had a question does the length of the fft have anything to do with the accuracy of the rifle?

No.
It all depends on your preference. I like a low profile gas block with a handguard that covers up the gas block. -
It could have an impact on accuracy if you are using iron sights because of the longer distance between the front and rear sight. If you are using optics of some sort, there shouldn't be any impact.Comment
