That is for the reloading gurus? Makes no sense to me, then why is the 123 Amax get so much praise?? I just shoot the 123SSTs and have no problems and no complaints. KISS BANG BANG!!

Reference this quote regarding the 120gr and 123gr A-max bullets:

...needs to be seated deeper. The 120gr A-MAX was developed for the other 6.5 bores where there is plenty of COL to work with.

The 123gr A-MAX was designed with the Grendel in mind, and does really well at maximizing BC, with a projectile form that fits well for the AR15 mag length COL, as well as minimum case intrusion so that powder capacity can be more.

And to add to that, the 123gr SST is very similar in design to the 123gr A-max.

The 120gr A-max can work, but the 123gr A-max and SST are better suited to the Grendel.
