if factory hornady seems dead nuts,,,,

i have shot a buttload of factory hornady 123 amax now and i gotta say its very good in my rifle. i will also say that the factory hornady 123 SST ammo didnt do quite as well but still very good. its a 20 inch barrel length and seems to shoot best after a few shots. i have pulled the bullets out of a buttload of the wolf 123 grain soft points and really want to make good use of the already primed brass. what would you do? should i go ahead and deprime and reprime with some other primer? and what powder would you use knowing that factory ammo works so well that it seems like trying to duplicate that configuration would be great i would think. i am just looking for your ideas for the best use of this brass. i have CFE223 and XBR8208 and H335 and i bet i can find others if properly motivated. also i have 123 grain SST and amax bullets to load for this.

I would use the already seated primers, load up 28.0 g of xbr and cap with a 123 A-max and match factory oal. Just my opinion, do so at your own risk

If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

I would think cfe223 or leverlution wiuld be closer to factory powder. Just measure factory col. I'd work up though.

I think factory is around 2.245-2.250.

Factory Hornady 123gr SST is 2.243" consistently on a bunch I just measured, but I seem to remember some that were shorter.

                        123gr A-MAX is 2.245".

Thanks, I haven't bought loaded centerfire ammo once in my adult life. I knew someone would have the info.
