There seem to be a lot of 6.5mm bullets available right now. I'm going to work up some loads with Barnes 100 grain TTSX bullets for my 12.5" for the upcoming season. Nosler 120 grain ballistic tips shoot well for accuracy in that barrel, but I haven't killed anything with them yet. Both are readily available. For the Noslers, it's the first time I've seen them in a year or more.

I get 2,476 from Black 123 grain ELDMs in my 18" and 2,284 in my 12.5". In general, a load that shoots accurately in one barrel also does in the other.

I’m expecting about 200 fps lower as an estimate.
I’ve only shot 1 box of factory ammo though my 18”
that was some just to check function when I first finished building it. I’m really intrigued about the 90 grain TNT and 100 gr bullets. I hear so many speak highly of them. I had bad experience with mono bullets in 2 different calibers that I tried them in. I feel like they would work if you can get really light for caliber going really fast but just wasn’t impressed.
