  • 140 gr bullets and CFE223

After reading alot of info on the CFE powder here it looks like it may be THE powder I am looking for. Can anyone give me some starting and max loads using a Hornady 140 gr bullet, Lapua brass, rem 7 1/2 primers. Need to get 2100fps out of my Nesika 15" bolt action pistol. Any help would be great!

Bwild97 is just starting to work up some 142 Sierra Match King loads. See his excellent reports in this thread:

Here are the drop box links to the Data chart provided by Seatlroadwr, A very big THANK YOU!! https://dl.dropbox.com/u/88798310/Grendel%20Loads%20from%20Bwild%2097%20Updated.pdf https://dl.dropbox.com/u/88798310/Grendel%20Loads%20from%20Bwild%2097%20Updated.xlsx

I think I remember reading that you have a longer throat, correct? Determine what your maximum COAL is with the 140gr (AMAX is it?), and see how much powder capacity you have after that. Then maybe approach from a comparative analysis of what Bwild97 has been doing with CFE, as it is new territory for us all.

      I'll be getting some myself.
