Thanks I appreciate the info. I am sitting on 8lbs of LV and 4 lbs cfe223. I have a gas and a bolt gun in both 6.5 g and 6 Arc. I've mainly loaded the lighter 6.5- 90 to 107 grain bullets so far. Planning to tests some cooler 110 chaos and 120tsx for upcoming hog hunts, can only use copper in California

It seems somewhat hazardous to have the same cartridge with two different maximum loading pressures. In one scenario you pick up the wrong ammunition when headed to the range and become disappointed as you were expecting to see 6.5 Creedmoor performance. A less optimum case is where the wrong ammunition leads to momentary Creedmoor performance from your gas gun just before bits of broken metal inform you of your error.

The original case web was designed to contain 58,000 psi but different manufacturer's brass composition may reduce this. I would err to a value of 55,000 psi for the case. The maximum operating pressure is 51,800 psi and most loads will run at 50,000, the difference being the safety factor.

The cartridge was and remains a small mid pressure set up that provides mid range velocities with good accuracy and exceptional barrel life.

It is interesting that you mentioned the effect of more powder at lower pressure. By an odd coincidence an article today had me looking into the 308 and 338 Marlin Express cartridges introduced around 2010. These were levergun cartridges that ran at 47,500 psi and 46,000 psi respectively and their performances were quite good with the pointed flex-tip ammo from Hornady.

I am very fortunate to get so many responses, from some very knowledgeable members. Thank you all for your input, I look forward to sharing my data and experience with the reloading process.

The same velocity being 2950? If yes, then I'd agree, and you would have a competitive advantage over a slower 6mm doing 2750.
