is factory 6.5G ammo pricey where you are?

I was at a chain sporting goods store this afternoon. Surprise, they had 6.5 Grendel ammo on the shelf! Nosler factory trophy grade something or other with the 129 accubond long range. Hmmm... maybe I should pick up a box or two.... Turned the box on end to see the price. Over $3.25 per round. Gasp. Well, maybe I don't need to try it that badly. egad. For a 6.5 Grendel??? I hope you folks are seeing more reasonable 6.5G ammo prices. Also they had some of the 50 round boxes of Nosler Premium fully prepped brass in 6.5 G for sale too. Over $2 apiece. what!!! Either Nosler is very very proud of their stuff, or this store is doing some serious price gouging right now. And it may be "supply and demand" because this was the only 6.5 Grendel anything I've seen on any shelf for over 2 years around here, so they may think they can get that amount for it. I'll check back there in a week or so and it'll either be gone or maybe I can negotiate a bit lower price...

Nosler stuff is expensive. The retail for 50 pieces of brass is $123.49. Twenty rounds of Accubond is $65.49. The only Nosler stuff I use are bullets bought as 2nds or blems at the Nosler outlet store, Shooters Pro Shop.

Explore the world of Nosler, renowned for crafting the finest bullets, ammunition, rifles, and brass. Discover our extensive lineup, including Partition, AccuBond, E-Tip, Ballistic Tip, Custom Competition, and more. Experience superior quality and performance with Nosler products.

Edit: I just bought a few hundred 105gr RDF 6mm bullets @$.20 for the 6ARC. I hope they shoot!

I saw the same thing recently at Sportsman's Warehouse for the 129gr ABLR. Ridiculous. I will not pay that much when I can reload instead.

I don't know if it's pricey here or not. The last time I looked, I couldn't find any 6.5 Grendel locally. The last time I found some at a LGS was early 2020 & it was about $25 a box for both Hornady 123gr AMAX & SSTs. I haven't been to Cabelas or Sportsmans Warehouse lately so I don't know if it's back in stock at those stores.

Just got an email from Grab-A-Gun. They have 123gr Hornady SST ammo in stock. It's higher than I've seen it before but if ya need some, here it is.

Academy has Hornady ELD-M and BTHP in stock by me pretty regularly for 30. Hoping they'll stock some SST soon. Did buy a box of SST from Gibsons so I can put the Grendel back in play for hogs.
